1st lit circle connection

During my Elementary school days, there was always this kid who everyone thought was weird. He dressed goofy, talked awkward, and just presented himself differently then others our age. My fourth grade year I had to sit next to the boy whose name was Jacob. The more I got to talking to the kid I realized that he was just like everyone else.

In this book, Freak was always looked at differently by his pears and picked on and such. But like Jacob and I, the more Max got to know Freak, he realized he was just like everyone else, and somewhat even more special.

This made me think that you should not judge people for how they look or dress or act until you actually get to know the person. Peoples personalities are a lot deeper then just appearance.
